Today is officially one year since i published my first blog post, my “Blogaversary” 🎉🎈🎉. Where did the time go?
I remember purchasing my domain name in October and taking the necessary steps to get started. It really was a faith step as I got the vision more than a year before stepping out and starting the blog. I knew almost nothing upon starting this blog, but within the year I learned so many invaluable things and met some lovely bloggers. The most important thing for me as I Blog is remembering the reason why I do it. I don’t do it for me, the recognition, the following or money. My why for this blog is to give God glory and to encourage His children. I seek to stay true to my goal of being the person my younger self needed.
During the year I published 40 posts, some more open and personal than others. As I go forward I will continue to follow the leading of the Lord and to today I rededicate this blog to Him.
In Jamaica we say “Encouragement sweetens labour” which really means that when things get tough a little encouragement keeps you going. For me, one source of encouragement came through the comments from you, the readers. I decided to start a “praise file” of the comments as a source of some much needed encouragement.
Today, on this special day I’m sharing 12 of the comments in my praise file with you (12 for 12 months).
Leonora Taylor on Marriage a Beautiful Beginning: Thank you for telling your story. There are many aspects of it that I can relate to and learn from. Thanks for reminding me that Eve didn’t go in search of Adam but God woke him up when the time was right. That was definitely God speaking to me through you telling me that He has heard my prayers and i should shut up and wait for the right time. I am definitely looking forward to the next chapter
